Three Swedish NHL players accused of rape had their suspensions from the national team extended to one year on Wednesday, making them ineligible for the 2006 Olympics.

Kristian Huselius of the Florida Panthers, Andreas Lilja of the Nashville Predators and Henrik Tallinder of the Buffalo Sabres are banned from competing for the Swedish national team until after the Olympic Games in Turin, Italy.

All three were accused of raping a 22-year-old woman in a hotel room on Feb. 9. The players told police they had consensual sex after meeting her in a bar.

Police dropped their investigation two days later because of lack of evidence, but a special prosecutor re-opened the case in March. She hasn't decided whether to press charges.

The players were suspended from the national team after they were questioned by police.

Huselius and Tallinder were released by their Swedish club team, Linkoping, and moved to Swiss teams. Lilja was suspended by Swedish club Mora for the rest of the season.
