Two NHL prospects charged with uttering death threats were released on bail Monday after being arrested following an incident at a Toronto nightclub.

Police arrested Trevor Daley of Toronto and Luke Sellars of Schomberg, Ont., after an altercation involving a doorman at Money, a downtown club in Toronto.

Daley, 20, plays for the Dallas Stars, while Sellars, 23, plays for the Atlanta Thrashers.

The players did not speak in court and weren't available for comment outside.

As a condition of bail, both players were banned from returning to the city's entertainment district and ordered not to drink or to associate with anyone with a criminal record.

They were also instructed not to associate with any member of the Hells Angels and ordered to pay cash deposits of $3,000 each.

Sellars and Daley must live at their residences while in Toronto. They are set to appear in court again Sept. 17.

A publication ban was placed on the court proceedings.

Daley split the 2003-04 season with Dallas and the Utah Grizzlies of the American Hockey League. Daley scored one goal and added five assists in 27 games for the Stars during the campaign.

Sellars, meanwhile, has played only one NHL game with the Thrashers, in the 2001-02 season. He has played the bulk of his professional career with the Chicago Wolves on the AHL.
