The Calgary Flames will be sporting a new look at the Saddledome this season.

The club unveiled a new red jersey, which will be the team's home uniform in 2003-04.

The shirt has a black flaming C above yellow and white trim.

"I'm excited about the new home jersey," Flames President & CEO Ken King said in a news release.

"It has a strong emphasis on the great tradition of the Flames while adding a new look to the team."

The Flames' road uniform from last season -- a black jersey featuring a horse with fire flaring from its nostrils -- remains unchanged. It will be an alternate jersey this year.

Their regular white uniform, used at home last year, is also the same. It will be used on the road.

NHL teams will swap their traditional home whites for dark jerseys in 2003-04. The move marks the first time home sides will wear dark uniforms at home since 1970-71.
