The NHL may move the annual gala awards ceremony to another Canadian city because of SARS.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for June 12th at Toronto's Metro Convention Centre and will be broadcast live on CBC.

"We're continuing to monitor the situation," NHL vice-president Frank Brown said before Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final Monday night.

"We have several options."

Those options include a change of venue or a change of date. However, there is no threat of the event being cancelled, said Brown.

As it sits now, the event will go ahead as planned.

Although the World Health Organization has declared Toronto a SARS hotspot following a second outbreak of the disease, it has not issued a travel advisory for the city.

The total number of deaths from the disease in the Toronto area is now 32.
