The Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League are this year's Memorial Cup champions.

Colin Sinclair scored twice for the well-rested Ice as they beat the Victoriaville Tigres of the Quebec League 6-3 in the cup final.

It was the third game in as many days for the Tigres, who had to fight their way into the final after starting the tournament with two losses. The Ice, meanwhile, secured their spot in the final way back on Tuesday and were playing on three days rest.
