The NHL suspended Ottawa Senators forward Andre Roy two games without pay Monday for running after Vancouver Canucks tough guy Donald Brashear in the corridors of the Corel Centre over the weekend.

Roy, who missed Monday night's game against the New York Rangers, forfeits $5,080.21 in salary.

He'll miss Tuesday's home game against the Buffalo Sabres and be eligible to return Thursday night against the San Jose Sharks.

After losing a one-sided fight late in Ottawa's 3-0 win over the Canucks on Saturday, Roy unsuccessfully chased Brashear down the hallway to the Canucks dressing room, upset because he felt that Brashear jumped him when they fought at 16:56 of the third period.

"It was stupid on my part," Roy told the Ottawa Citizen. "I just wanted to let him know I thought he jumped me."
