Christine Nesbitt just missed a gold medal in the 1,500-metre at World Cup event on Saturday.

The 26-year-old Canadian long track speedskater was 0.04 seconds behind Dutch skater Ireen Wust, who finished first with a time of one minute 56.99 seconds.

Marrit Leenstra of the Netherlands claimed third in 1:57.59.

Nesbitt, a native of London, Ont., has two golds and two silvers in the 1,500 metres this season and leads the overall standings with 360 points, 10 more than Wust.
