Vancouver Whitecaps forward Camilo Sanvezzo was named Major League Soccer player of the week on Monday.

He scored two second-half goals in a 2-2 tie with the Portland Timbers on Sunday to keep the Whitecaps in playoff contention.

Camilo's first goal came on a free kick from nearly 30 yards out. His second goal was a spectacular scissor-kick volley from the top of the box.

Camilo leads all MLS players with three player of the week awards this season.
