Toronto FC acquired a conditional draft pick from the Seattle Sounders on Friday in exchange for the club's current allocation ranking.

The Sounders then used that Major League Soccer allocation spot to sign goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann.

The 40-year-old will be added to Seattle's roster as soon as he receives an international transfer clearance.

Hahnemann returns to MLS after 13 years and over 300 appearances in the English Premier League for Fulham, Reading, Wolverhampton and Everton.

He also has nine caps for the United States and was a member of the 2006 and 2010 World Cup teams.

Toronto FC hosts the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, while Seattle visits the Portland Timbers.
