Mallorca has signed Giovani Dos Santos from Tottenham on a four-year deal, and Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente's is waiting to see where he will end up on transfer deadline day.
Dos Santos is the first significant move made by Mallorca since being barred from 2010 Europa League over financial difficulties. The Mexico forward previously played in Spain for Barcelona and Racing Santander.
Llorente, who is out of contract at the end of the season, hasn't played for Bilbao as the Basque club waits to see if any European team will pay the Spain international's C36 million ($45 million US) buy-out clause.
Malaga signed Javier Saviola from Benfica and Chile midfielder Manuel Iturra from Leiria, while promoted Celta Vigo took Arsenal striker Park Chu-young on loan for the season.
