Canadian international striker Simeon Jackson is set to leave his Gillingham club for the more prestigious Norwich City, according to multiple reports by British media.

Jackson, 23, has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with Norwich, which next season will move up to the League Championship — one level below the Premier League — after winning the third-tier League One title.

Jackson scored 17 goals last season for Gillingham, which finished 21st out of 24 teams in League One and was relegated to League Two.

Norwich will reportedly pay an initial transfer fee of £600,000 (about $944,000 Cdn) that could rise as high as £1 million (close to $1.6 million).

Jackson, who was born in Jamaica and grew up in the Toronto area, has appeared in 10 games for Canada's senior national team, scoring one goal.
