All matches will air live on the main CBC-TV network, as well as being streamed live and made available on demand on CBCSports.ca.
CBC's coverage begins April 25 when Toronto hosts Swedish star Freddie Ljungberg and the Seattle Sounders at 2 p.m. ET. That game will be live on the main CBC network and live on Bold, CBC's digital TV channel.
The broadcast schedule also includes matches against the New England Revolution (May 22, 3:30 p.m. ET) and the New York Red Bulls with former TFC star Carl Robinson (Aug. 21, 1 p.m. ET). The last game of the broadcast package features a match-up between Toronto and the Columbus Crew (Oct. 16, 3:30 p.m. ET).
The highlight of the TV schedule comes July 10, a day before the final of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, when Toronto hosts the Colorado Rapids (noon ET) as part of CBC's fourth annual Soccer Day in Canada broadcast.
Gemini Award-winner Scott Russell returns this season as host of CBC's MLS coverage. Nigel Reed will handle the play-by-play announcing duties, alongside former Canadian national team captain, Jason De Vos. CBC Sports veteran Brenda Irving will report from the sidelines during games.
This is the fourth year that CBC will air Toronto FC games.
CBC's MLS coverage is part of a bigger commitment to soccer from the national broadcaster — CBC is the exclusive Canadian broadcast rights holder for the World Cup, one of the world's biggest sporting events.
CBC's World Cup broadcast schedule will be released in the coming weeks. The World Cup runs from June 11 to July 11 in South Africa.
