Kei Kamara will miss Houston's season finale at Chivas USA. (Steve Campbell/Associated Press)Major League Soccer's disciplinary committee confirmed Wednesday that it has doubled the suspensions and fines given to Houston Dynamo striker Kei Kamara and FC Dallas midfielder Pablo Ricchetti.
Both players were slapped with an additional one-game suspension and $250 US fine, over and above the automatic suspension and fine they received for earning red cards last week.
Kamara, 25, was carded for elbowing defender Nick Garcia in a 2-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on Oct. 15.
Kamara sat out last Saturday's 3-0 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy, and will miss the Dynamo's regular-season finale at Chivas USA.
Ricchetti, 31, was penalized for a questionable challenge on midfielder Will Johnson in last Saturday's 3-1 loss to Real Salt Lake.
He later was involved in a physical confrontation with defender Ian Joy, resulting in further discipline.
Ricchetti will sit out Sunday's regular-season finale at Los Angeles, and next season's opener.
