Toronto FC signed Honduran midfielder Amado Guevara on Wednesday.

"He's a different type of player, he can create and score goals," Toronto manager Mo Johnston said in a release. "He's talented, and we're very happy that he's signed with us. It's a chance for him to resurrect his MLS career in Toronto, and I know our fans will embrace him."

Guevara, 31, has 32 goals and 36 assists in 107 career MLS games.

Toronto had to surrender future considerations in the 2009 and 2010 MLS SuperDrafts to Chivas USA, where Guevara spent part of last season before accepting a loan move to Motagua.

The five-foot-11, 155-pounder is the all-time caps leader (105) of the Honduran national team.
