AC Milan star Kaka is the highest-paid soccer player in the world, according to a survey published Friday by France Football magazine.
France Football's list, which is based solely on a player's wages and doesn't take sponsorship deals into consideration, pegs Kaka's annual salary at $12.87 million Cdn. a season.
The 25-year-old Brazilian, who is the reigning FIFA world player of the year, signed a two-year contract extension on Thursday, keeping him tied to the Italian club until the summer of 2013.
Fellow Brazilian Ronaldinho is No. 2 on the rich list, earning $12.31 million a season with Spanish club FC Barcelona.
