Slovenia striker Nejc Pecnik is reportedly out of the rest of the FIFA World Cup because of a broken ankle.

The Slovenian Press Agency says Pecnik was injured in a collision with United States midfielder Clint Dempsey in the final minutes of Friday's 2-2 draw with the Americans.

Pecnik had only come on in the 74th minute as a substitute for Zlatan Ljubijankic.

Slovenia plays England in its final Group C match on Wednesday.
