Bastian Schweinsteiger gets treatment for an injury during Germany's match against Ghana. His status for the team's Round of 16 match vs. England is still unknown.

Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger remains highly doubtful for Sunday's second-round World Cup match against England because of a right-thigh injury.

Germany coach Joachim Loew says he will use only players who are 100 per cent fit and that there is a "big question mark" behind Schweinsteiger and defender Jerome Boateng, who has a calf injury.

Schweinsteiger has assumed some of the defensive duties of injured captain Michael Ballack, who had to miss the tournament because of an ankle injury.

Striker Miroslav Klose is available after serving a one-match suspension.
