Portugal midfielder Deco has been ruled out of his team's Group G match against North Korea on Monday.

Coach Carlos Queiroz said Sunday that Deco would miss the game because of a left hip injury.

He held out hope Deco could recover for the team's final group match against Brazil.

Deco was Portugal's only player to skip training Sunday.

Portugal is already without Manchester United winger Nani, who was ruled out of the World Cup before the tournament started with a collarbone problem.
