Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott could miss the rest of the season because of a hamstring injury, another potential blow to England's World Cup roster.

Lescott was hurt during warmups for Sunday's Premier League match at Fulham, and the team says he will be out of action for up to six weeks.

Lescott has already missed 12 games this season following surgery to remove a piece of bone from his foot. Man City's Premier League finale is May 9.

England is already missing midfielder David Beckham (torn Achilles' tendon). Left back Ashley Cole hopes to recover from a broken foot before England's opener against the U.S. on June 12.
