It’s been a crazy and wild 48 hours for Toronto FC, two days that few saw coming.

First, Reds GM Tim Bezbatchenko called out his team on Friday, saying his players need to “take it up a notch,” after the Reds had only earned 13 of a possible 33 points since July.

Livid, Toronto FC manager Ryan Nelsen fired back on Saturday, accusing Bezbatchenko of sabotaging the team.

The reaction?

Well, Nelsen and five of his assistant coaches were fired on Sunday. Greg Vanney replaces Nelsen, but now star striker Jermain Defoe’s future has come into question.

A source close to the situation told The Canadian Press that Defoe doesn't like the direction of the club and wants out, with England's Queens Park Rangers and Arsenal reportedly interested.

Defoe has been a productive player for TFC but nagging injuries have sidelined him off and on this season.

Here's some Twitter reaction to the Defoe report.

So what now?
