Simone Bracalello scored twice to lead the Minnesota Stars past the Montreal Impact 3-1 in North American Soccer League action Saturday.
Defender Neil Hlavaty opened the scoring for the Stars (7-4-7) in the 17th minute before Bracalello added two more including the winner in the 75th minute.
English midfielder Ian Westlake scored the only goal for Montreal (3-10-6) in the 23rd minute as the Impact's six-game unbeaten streak at home ended.
"We lost too many balls while being in a bad situation and they made us pay for it," said Impact team captain Nevio Pizzolitto. "We tried coming back, but without success. We are playing our next game in a few days and so we need to quickly turn the page. We have three games left on this home stand and we need to take advantage of it by getting as many points as possible."
The Impact unveiled their new logo — a blue and black emblem with the fleur de lys — at halftime ahead of the team's entry into the MLS next year.
