Ghana captain John Mensah is in doubt for the World Cup match against Australia on Saturday after being withdrawn from a practice session because of a chronic hamstring injury.
The defender stopped training Friday but coach Milovan Rajevic says the move was mostly precautionary.
A decision will be made on Mensah on game day in the Group D match at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.
Mensah played the whole match of Ghana's opening 1-0 win over Serbia last Sunday, but the player is coming off an injury-plagued season. He moved from Marseille to Sunderland on loan, but missed the Africa Cup of Nations due a hamstring complaint.
