Fulham striker Andy Johnson is out for the rest of the Premier League season following knee surgery.

Johnson was operated on in Colorado and Fulham says the England international should be fit for "the latter part of preseason training" ahead of next season.

Fulham is already without Clint Dempsey after the United States striker tore his posterior cruciate ligament.

The west London club is 10th in the 20-team Premier League but has managed just 27 goals in 24 matches.
