Soccer SuperFans

I was born and raised in Durban, South Africa. Soccer is as much apart of the culture as family is down there.

People don't know much about baseball or hockey, but soccer is our specialty! :-)

From children kicking the ball bare foot, to people huddled in crowded rooms watching the Bafana Bafana play, the love of the game is felt in every emotion. The spirit of the World Cup is already soaring down in Durban, and everyone is as excited back home as I am.

I was in South Africa last summer, and I was lucky enough to see a few of the stadiums being built. I left Durban 13 years ago, but return as often as possible to visit my family that still live there.

Coming from a family of soccer fanatics, it's not very hard to do every now and then.
