All we need is a tie or a win and we're through. However if we lose, we would need Australia and Serbia to not draw or an Australian victory by no more than two goals.

Before the game I was not able to sleep or eat well - I was even more nervous than the players.

After all my trash-talking and God forbid, Ghana is knocked out, I would never hear the end of it.

This was the most nerve-wracking match I've ever watched in my life. I was watching the Ghana-Germany match on TV and the Serbia-Australia match online. I'm too young to die.

Thumbnail image for GhanaFlag.jpgWhen Ozil scored the goal vs Ghana in the 60th min, I saw my life flashing before my eyes. I got a panic attack and thought it was all over, as the Serbia - Australia game remained 0-0. Nine minutes later, Australia scored and I was celebrating, as if Ghana had scored.

There was hope after all! Australia scored again in the 73rd min and I was kind of scared. One more goal and we're dead. Serbia came to the rescue and they scored in the 84th min - but then if Serbia scored one more, then Ghana's out!

I was hyperventilating while watching both matches and Ghana kept on missing shot upon shot. My heart was beating so fast and I had a massive migraine as I was shouting and praying to God for a miracle!

For the last 2 minutes, I took my attention off of the Ghana game and focused on the other match. I nearly fainted when Serbia missed that empty net to almost give them the equalizer.

The final whistle blew and it was all over! What a relief! GHANA IS THROUGH TO THE ROUND OF 16!!! Yes!!!!!

My mom called from work wanting to know the results but I was breathing heavily and she couldn't understand what I was saying so she was forced to hang up. I was an emotional wreck after the game and extra-strength Tylenol wasn't enough to relieve my massive migraine.

I'm now confident that we can beat the USA! It's kind of a blessing in disguise that we didn't top the group because we would meet England, and then the winner of Mexico-Argentina.

Whew!

I hope I never have to feel like this again!
