It's HERE!!! The World Cup is FINALLY here!!

I've been waiting for this day for the last four years and I'm so excited.

It's amazing to see how a community can truly come together because of one sport. There are so many flags waving, people cheering and countries being represented - I love this season!

Have I mentioned yet how excited I am? I went shopping the other day at Winners and found some awesome tee's and sweaters with my team on it, so OF COURSE I bought them. I decided to start wearing them right away and show my support for the country that's going to win the world cup - GERMANY! It helped that they were a great price too...I may have to go back and buy some of their other Germany branded clothes!

So we're 2 days away from Germany facing Australia and I can already feel my heart racing as I write this!

It's going to be an interesting game and a test for Germany to see how their injury-prone team adapts to the younger players. I have to admit, while I hate seeing any soccer player injured, it helps ease the nerves when you see that Germany is not the only team having problems with star players forced to sit on the sidelines.

It seems as though this tournament will make room for some of the less experienced players to show themselves on the world stage. I can't wait for Germany to prove that they have what it takes to win the World Cup!

Less than 48 hours to prepare for the game...I'm thinking a trip to the grocery and liquor stores is in order?! Any suggestions?
