Breaking down the injury situation for the Uruguay-France match on June 11 in Cape Town.
Uruguay
Uruguay's star striker Diego Forlan collided with teammate Walter Gargano and appeared to injure his left foot during a recent practice. Forlan is expected to start for Uruguay against France.
That's good news for the South Americans, as Forlan, considered one of the most dangerous strikers, was Uruguay's top scorer during the qualifiers with seven goals.
Forlan's inclusion in the line-up means coach Oscar Tabarez will have a lethal 1-2 scoring threat up front, as Forlan will partner the equally dangerous Luis Suarez.
France
Coach Raymond Domenech has no current injury concerns to deal with.
But midfielder Lassana Diarra was forced to pull out of the team a few weeks ago with a stomach ailment.
With the Real Madrid star watching from home, Domenech will be forced to employ Jeremy Toulalan as his chief holding midfielder.
It will be interesting to see whether Toulalan, who plays for Olympique Lyon, can sufficiently fill in for Diarra, who is widely considered one of the best holding midfielders in soccer today.
