Player to watch for Uruguay

Diego Forlan — Who else could it be? The Atletico Madrid forward has two goals for his country at this tournament and has given defenders fits in South Africa. Forlan forms an effective partnership up front with Luis Suarez, so the Koreans better be leery.

Player to watch for South Korea

Park Ji-Sung — The Manchester United star is the chief organizer of his team's attack, with his sublime possession and expert passing skills. If Uruguay can contain Park, the Koreans will be in big trouble.

Key matchup

Cho-Yong-Hyung vs. Diego Forlan — The Korean defender will have his hands full trying to stop Forlan, one of the most dangerous strikers in the world. But if he and his defensive cohorts can do it, they will have given themselves a good chance to beat the South Americans. An early goal by Forlan would unsettle the Korean defence and make them chase the game.
