World Cup-bound Denmark beat Senegal 2-0 on Thursday in Aalborg, Denmark, on the eve of its departure for South Africa.

Christian Poulsen was set up by Jon Dahl Tomasson in the 27th minute, and Thomas Enevoldsen added the second in stoppage time.

The Danes played the last nine minutes without defender Simon Kjaer, who was carried out on a stretcher after tackling Mame Biram Diouf. His injury was not disclosed.

Coach Morten Olsen spared veteran goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen and key striker Nicklas Bendtner.

It was the last trial before Olsen on Friday picks the definitive 23-player list and takes off for South Africa.

Denmark was in Group E with the Netherlands, Japan and Cameroon.
