Dallas FC acquires Hartman from Wizards

FC Dallas acquired keeper Kevin Hartman from the Kansas City Wizards for a second-round draft pick on Monday.

FC Dallas has signed goalkeeper Kevin Hartman, a four-time MLS all-star.

The team said Monday that it acquired Hartman in a trade with the Kansas City Wizards, giving them a second-round selection in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for Hartman.

The UCLA graduate was drafted in the third round of the 1997 college draft by the Los Angeles Galaxy.

After 10 seasons with the Galaxy, he was traded to Kansas City in 2007.
