The World Cup in Brazil is expected to be the most digitally searched and tweeted sporting event ever. With the matches happening at convenient times for North America, the traffic online will be high.

But in Canada, there was concern the start of the World Cup could be overshadowed by the Stanley Cup final. Not so, according to Google.

Google says searches for "World Cup" are ahead of "Stanley Cup." The holy grail of soccer is even more popular than that other cup people usually start their day with: coffee.
