World Cup gambler avoids $350k loss thanks to Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi sent an entire country into a frenzy with his last-minute, game-winning goal for Argentina in the side's FIFA World Cup Group F match against Iran. 

He also prevented a high-rolling Vegas gambler from having to sell his house and several organs.

If you can't make out the betting slips, those are two tickets for a total bet of $350,000 US on Argentina to defeat Iran on Saturday.

He was two minutes from losing that bet until Messi's wonder strike saved Argentina an embarrassing draw.
