Toronto FC forward Chad Barrett was named Major League Soccer's player of the week on Monday.
Barrett scored two goals and assisted on another in Toronto's 3-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday.
The win snapped Toronto's five-game road losing skid and helped the club move into a tie with the Chicago Fire for first place in the MLS Eastern Conference.
Barrett scored his first goal of the night against the Earthquakes in the sixth minute, firing the ball into the back of the net from inside the box after collecting a pass from teammate Dwayne De Rosario.
San Jose tied things up later in the half before Barrett set up teammate Pablo Vitti to score in the 54th minute before scoring his second goal of the game 15 minutes later.
Barrett, who has four goals in 17 games this season, is the second player in franchise history to win the player of the week award.
Toronto FC midfielder Amado Guevara claimed the honour earlier this season.
