Sara Takanashi of Japan moved a step closer to winning the women's ski jump world title by sweeping a World Cup doubleheader on home soil on Sunday in Yamagata, Japan.
The 16-year-old Takanashi has a 230-point lead in the overall standings over defending champion Sarah Hendrickson of the United States with four events left and could wrap up the title in Slovenia next weekend.
Two competitions were held Sunday after strong winds forced the cancellation of Saturday's event.
Takanashi had jumps of 95.5 and 93.5 metres in the first event for a total of 228 points and jumps of 102 and 94 metres in the second competition for 240.4 points.
Austria's Jacqueline Seifriedsberger was second in both events.
