Thomas Morgenstern won the third stop of the Four Hills tournament on Monday in Innsbruck, Austria, to extend his lead in the prestigious ski jumping competition.

The Austrian holds a 27.3-point lead over second-place Simon Ammann of Switzerland going into the final event on Thursday in Bischofshofen, Austria.

Jumps of 129.5 and 126.5 metres earned Morgenstern his sixth victory of the season and 20th overall. Morgenstern also leads the overall World Cup standings.

Former Four Hills champion Adam Malysz of Poland was second, 9.0 points behind. Tom Hilde of Norway was third.
