Canada's Mackenzie Bent and Garrett MacKeen stand in second place after Friday's short dance at the fourth stop on the ISU Junior Grand Prix figure skating circuit in Romania.

Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin of Russia lead the 13-team field with 57.15 points, the Canadians follow in second at 50.87 and Anastasia Galyeta and Alexei Shumski of Ukraine are third at 50.45.

Bent, who is from Uxbridge, Ont., and MacKeen, from Oshawa, Ont., are making their international debut. They won bronze in novice ice dance at the 2011 Skate Canada Junior Nationals.

Laurence Fournier Beaudry of Greenfield Park, Que., and Yoan Breton of St-Alexandre, Que., also in their junior Grand Prix debut, are in ninth place.
