Bobsleigh legend Pierre Lueders tells CBC's foreign correspondent Susan Ormiston that he chose to work in Russia because he 'didn't feel welcomed' as a Canaidan coach.

Bobsleigh legend enjoying life as Russian coach

Pierre Lueders is Canada’s greatest bobsledder, but the Edmonton native is also brutally honest whenever he’s asked for his opinions. He certainly didn’t disappoint when CBC's award-winning foreign correspondent Susan Ormiston caught up with him in Sochi, Russia.

Lueders told Ormiston the main reason he chose to work in Russia is that he "didn’t feel welcomed" as a coach in Canada.

The chance to coach in a host Olympic country was also a drawing point for the two-time Olympic medallist, which included gold at the 1998 Nagano Games.
