 Posted personal bests in the 200m (20.87, April 13 in Walnut, CA) and 400m (45.61, June 13 in Seattle, WA) this year.
Finished second in the 400m at the 2002 Canadian championships (46.53).
Also specialized in long jump and triple jump at an earlier age, winning gold long-jump gold at the 2001 Canada Summer Games in London, Ont. (7.3m).
Was nominated for Athletics Alberta's Athlete of the Year in 2002.
A knee problem at age 14 forced him out of track for two seasons.
Holds Alberta's junior records in the 200m and 400m.
