Defenceman James Wisniewski re-signed Monday with the Anaheim Ducks for one year and $2.75 million US.

Wisniewski, 25, split last season between the Chicago Blackhawks and Ducks, posting three goals and 21 assists for 24 points in 48 games.

Anaheim acquired him and Petri Kontiola from Chicago in a March 4 trade for Samuel Pahlsson, Logan Stephenson and a fourth-round draft pick.

Wisniewski has totalled 14 goals and 67 points in 185 NHL games since he was drafted in the fifth round (156th overall) by Chicago in 2002.
