While teams like Montreal, Ottawa and Boston have been rumoured to be interested in Marian Hossa of the Atlanta Thrashers, the latest rumour is that Pittsburgh may be involved in talks with Atlanta GM Don Waddell.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

is that legal to have those 3 playing on the same line? that must be against the law somewhere...

this will cost a lot for the pens!

That would be illegal. Unfortunately, it is only illegal in the eastern part of Pennsylvania.

Hossa is not going to the Penguins, this just doesn't make sense, they already have to many of that type of player, and don't get me wrong he is a great player but not a fit in Pittsburgh. Watch for him to end up in Montral for a package including Ryder, one of Montreals defenceman and a top prospect from Hamilton and maybe a later pick

No worries, they cannot afford that.

what is up the Kings?????

The Habs just gave up Huet for nothing, they better not mess up this deal with Hossa.

Its a perfect fit -- leadership, experience and scoring. What a land by Mario, if it actually happens.

The Penguins overpayed bigtime for a player they likely didn't need. They got rid of Angelo Esposito and two potential top-6 forwards... for Hossa and Dupuis? Ludicrous! Unless the Penguins become a dynasty team as a result of this, this deal is a bust.

Stephen, you must be nuts. Calling Colby Armstrong and Erik Christensen potential top-6 forwards is just nuts. Sure the both have some talent, but nowhere near top-6. Penguins did lose a good 3rd line center in Christensen, and a great character guy in Army.

Even if Hossa doesn't resign with the Penguins its still not such a bad deal.
