The Nashville Predators signed restricted free agent Sergei Kostitsyn to a one-year contract worth $550,000 US on Tuesday.

Kostitsyn, 23, was acquired from Montreal in exchange for forward Dustin Boyd and goaltender Dan Ellis one week ago.

In 155 career NHL games over the past three seasons, Kostitsyn compiled 24 goals and 44 assists.

Red Wings keep Miller

In other moves on Tuesday, the Detroit Red Wings re-signed forward Drew Miller to a one-year contract reportedly worth $650,000.

The Red Wings claimed Miller off of waivers from Tampa Bay in November, and he played in 66 games for Detroit last season, scoring 10 goals and adding nine assists.

Caps re-sign Gordon

The Washington Capitals re-signed forward Boyd Gordon to a one-year contract, a deal reportedly worth $800,000. The 26-year-old native of Unity, Sask., had four goals and six assist in an injury-shortened 36 games with Washington last season.

Lightning re-sign Purcell, Lundin

The Tampa Bay Lightning made moves on Tuesday to keep two of their players, defenceman Mike Lundin and forward Teddy Purcell, of St. John's, Newfoundland.

Both players were reportedly signed to one-year, $750,000 contracts.

The 25-year-old Lundin had three goals and 13 points in 49 games with the Lightning last season

After joining the Lightning by way of trade with the Los Angeles Kings, Purcell, 24, skated in 19 games for Tampa Bay and recorded three goals and nine points.

Blueshirts ink McDonagh

The New York Rangers agreed to terms with defenceman Ryan McDonagh.

McDonagh, 21, registered four goals and 14 assists for 18 points, along with 73 penalty minutes in 43 games with the University of Wisconsin Badgers this past season.

The defenceman was acquired by the Rangers from the Montreal Canadiens in the deal that sent Scott Gomez to Montreal in June of 2009.
