CBCSports.ca senior reporter Tim Wharnsby names Tuesday's top performers in the NHL.

FIRST STAR: Patrick Marleau, F, San Jose

Marleau scored twice to allow Sharks teammate Dany Heatley to enjoy a 5-2 victory at home in his first game against his former club, the Ottawa Senators. Heatley assisted on both of Marleau's goals.

SECOND STAR: Randy Jones, D, Los Angeles

The Kings defenceman scored once and assisted on Brad Richardson's game-winner late in the third period of his team's 4-3 victory in Anaheim. Jones has three goals and eight points in 10 games with Los Angeles.

THIRD STAR: Colton Orr, F, Toronto

Orr doesn't score often. In 271 career games, the Maple Leafs left wing has only five goals. But now three of his five have been game-winners, including his first period goal in Montreal that gave the Leafs the lead in a 3-0 win against the Canadiens.
