CBCSports.ca senior reporter Tim Wharnsby names the top performers in the NHL from the weekend.

FIRST STAR: Henrik Zetterberg, F, Detroit Red Wings

Zetterberg geared up for his spot on the Swedish Olympic team with a three-goal, five-point game in Detroit's 7-4 victory against Anaheim on Saturday. The Wings forward also scored his fourth game-winner, tying him for the league lead in that department with Tampa Bay's Ryan Malone.

SECOND STAR: Carey Price, G, Montreal Canadiens

Price made 53 saves in a 2-0 loss to Nashville on Saturday. It's not the goalie's fault the Montreal offence has gone missing. Not counting a clinching goal in a 2-1 shootout victory against Boston on Nov. 5, the Habs have scored only six goals in their past five games.

THIRD STAR: Robbie Earl, F, Minnesota Wild

Earl scored his first two NHL goals in his 11th game as he helped the Wild storm back from a 4-1 deficit to push Carolina into overtime. But Hurricanes forward Jussi Jokinen scored the only shootout goal to snap Carolina's franchise-tying 14-game winless streak with a 5-4 shootout win on Sunday.
