Roberto Luongo will be back in uniform, though probably not on the ice, on Tuesday night.

The Canucks goalie, who has missed the last two weeks with a broken rib, expects to back up Andrew Raycroft for the game in St. Louis against the Blues.

Cory Schneider, who backed up Raycroft while Luongo was out, was returned to Manitoba of the AHL on Tuesday. Schneider made 45 saves in his lone start, a 2-1 loss to Dallas last Friday.

Luongo, who's 6-6-0 with a 2.79 goals-against average and .902 save percentage this season, could return to the starting lineup as early as Thursday in Detroit.

Luongo was hurt in an Oct. 24 game against Toronto when a puck found a vulnerable spot in his padding. He posted a shutout win against the Edmonton Oilers the following night, but aggravated the injury two days later in a 5-4 loss to Detroit.

The Canucks went 4-1-0 without Luongo, improving their record to 10-8-0 on the season.
