Calgary's Jarome Iginla was named the NHL's first star of the week Monday after scoring five goals in three games, helping lead the Flames to three consecutive victories.

The right wing ranks second in scoring for his team this season, with 14 points in 15 games. Eight of those are goals.

Iginla has scored the game winning goal in a number of recent games, including the overtime winner against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.

The Sharks' Evgeni Nabokov was named the second star of the week.

The San Jose goalie posted a 2-0-1 record with a 0.95 goals-against average and .967 save percentage as his team climbed to first place in the NHL's overall standings (12-4-2).

Nabokov, who was named the NHL third star last week, has improved his record. He stopped 26 shots and all three shootout attempts in a 3-2 victory against the Blue Jackets Nov. 4.

Philadelphia defenceman Chris Pronger takes third star of the week after three straight wins by the Flyers. He nailed four assists and one goal.

Pronger has increased his league-leading average ice time for the season to 27:37.
