The NHL suspended Anaheim Ducks forward Evgeny Artyukhin for three games Thursday after a slew-footing incident during a game against the Dallas Stars.

No penalty was called on the play, which occurred early in the second period of the Stars' 4-2 road victory Wednesday night.

Matt Niskanen is listed as day-to-day after suffering a head injury on the play.

Artyukhin, who forfeits $34,756.11 US in salary, will be eligible to return Oct. 31 at Phoenix.
