The NHL has scheduled a July 30 arbitration hearing over forward Jiri Hudler, who is leaving the Detroit Red Wings for the Continental Hockey League.

Hudler, 25, recently signed a two-year, $10-million US contract with Moscow Dynamo.

But Detroit is determined to retain his negotiating rights should he wish to return to the NHL.

Hudler, who earned $1.15 million US last season, reportedly rejected a five-year, $15-million US offer from the Red Wings.

He will be represented at the hearing by his agent, Petr Svoboda.

Hudler has posted 52 goals and 75 assists for 127 points in 255 NHL games since he was drafted in the second round (58th overall) by Detroit in 2002.
