Goaltender Wade Dubielewicz signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Wild, the club announced Friday, adding depth behind all-star Niklas Backstrom.

The signing gives the Wild a third goalie on the roster and added stability should they choose to trade backup Josh Harding, who last season posted a 2.21 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.

The Wild signed Backstrom to an extension that will make him the No. 1 goalie for the next four years.

Dubielewicz, 30, has 40 career NHL appearances under his belt with the New York Islanders and Columbus Blue Jackets. He has a career record of 17-15-1, with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage.

The Invermere, B.C., native won the American Hockey League's Rookie of the Year award in 2003-04.

The Wild also signed right wingers Duncan Milroy and Jon DiSalvatore to one-year contracts.

Milroy, 26, of Edmonton, was Montreal's second-round pick (37th overall) in the 2001 draft. He played last season with Ingolstadt ERC in Germany, and the season before that with Hamilton of the American Hockey League, when he also posted one assist in five games with the Canadiens.

DiSalvatore, 28, played for the AHL's Lowell Devils last season. The Bangor, Maine, native was San Jose's fourth-round pick (104th overall) in the 2000 NHL draft.
