The Montreal Canadiens signed forward Guillaume Latendresse and defenceman Shawn Belle to one-year deals Wednesday.
Latendresse scored 14 goals and tallied 26 points in 56 games with Montreal last season, while Belle had 13 points with the Canadiens' American Hockey League affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs, in 200809.
Latendresse was selected in the second round (45th overall) by the Canadiens in the 2005 draft. He has 82 points (46 goals, 36 assists) in 209 regular-season games with Montreal
Belle was acquired by the Canadiens in a trade with the Minnesota Wild in July 2008. The Edmonton native has played in nine NHL career games, all with Minnesota in 2006-07.
