Mikael Tellqvist was dealt to Buffalo for a fourth round pick. (Phillip MacCallum/Getty Images) The Buffalo Sabres have traded a fourth-round pick in 2010 to the Phoenix Coyotes for goaltender Mikael Tellqvist.
Tellqvist spent his last two and a half seasons with the Coyotes, mostly backing up starter Ilya Bryzgalov. His best season came in 2007-08, when he had a .908 save percentage and a 2.74 goals-against average.
He spent his first four years as a backup for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has a 3.04 GAA and .897 save percentage during his six years in the NHL.
